Puddle Jumpin'

It rained here non-stop yesterday. We aren't complaining and are thankful for the rain, but William was getting a little couped up. We headed outside in the drizzle to play and jump some puddles. One of William's favorite things to do is water our flowers about 3 or 4 times a day. I'm sure our neighbors thought we were crazy with the sprinkler & the water hose in the rain.

Tagged!!!

I have been tagged by Ginger!

10 years ago I was:
Enjoying Spring quarter of my junior year at Auburn. I was on the diving team and we had just finished our NCAA season, so it was time to relax a little. I was also teaching trampoline & tumbling at OTT. I had finally declared my major and was officially on the 5 year plan. Darcy, Tara, Tiffany & I lived at Scarborough Square and we had a great group of friends from Mobile there, too. We were all getting ready for our 1st annual Memorial Weekend at the beach!

5 years ago I was:
Beginning nursing school while working full-time in Cardiac Rehab. Eric was a brand new PhD student and neck deep in courses and research, so we saw very little of each other. We were trying to enjoy our first year living in Auburn and we had been married about 18 months.

1 year ago I was:
Celebrating my first Mother's Day with sweet William. We were also gearing up for William's first trip to the beach and our 10th annual Memorial Weekend at the beach! Our beach trips had sure matured from days of laying in the sun and playing beer pong. Now we were slathering slippery babies with sunscreen and taking naps every chance we got! We were also celebrating our other maturity milestone...all of the girls turned 30 last year!

If I were a billionaire I would:

1. Tithe and offer to pay qualified & willing teachers to fully staff our preschool department at church.

2. Set up a foundation to pay adoption fees for couples.

3. Fund Eric's lab so he would not have to spend time writing grants.

4. Pay off Eric's college loans and invest in a home on the lake and/or at the beach.

5. Give to cancer, heart disease & autism research.

5 bad habits:

1. I know just about how many miles I can drive with my gas light on.
2. I am the world's greatest procrastinator.
3. I pop my knuckles, neck & back.
4. I really do not enjoy flossing.
5. I have piles everywhere. Piles of magazines, folded clothes, receipts, pictures, you name it!

Cindy Lou Who

Who is Cindy Lou Who? Mamie is Cindy Lou Who and today was her birthday party! Mamie is one of William's sweet friends from Kindermusik. This wasn't just any birthday party. It was a Dr. Seuss party! William was Thing 1, although, he would not wear the blue hair (he would not wear it anywhere...). The Cat in the Hat made a special appearance and read a story to the children. We even ate green eggs and ham! William had so much fun! Happy Birthday Mamie!!!

Sweet Caroline

William had a lunch date last week with sweet baby Caroline. I think he was glad to finally meet this baby girl we keep talking about. He kept patting her head full of hair! We sure used the word "gentle" alot. Caroline is really healthy and growing so fast! She reminds us so much of William with those chubby cheeks and all that hair. Looking forward to another lunch date soon!
